FAQ
Most frequent questions and answers
We often do not get as many donations from April through September and would love to have you host a food drive or make a donation during that time of year!
Yes! With the money that you donate, we are able to purchase food from the Northern Illinois Food Bank or at other area retailers that may provide an item we can’t get elsewhere.
Not necessarily. While it is true that our dollar can stretch farther when we purchase food through the food bank, we are also limited to the choices they have available, which might not align with what our current needs are. See our top 10 item list for ideas to donate or host a food drive targeting some of those items.
We would love to show you our pantry and share what we do! Schedule a tour with our Executive Director or our Pantry Manager.
